  why did you study communication?

There is nothing more important to human history than our ability to make ourselves heard and understood. I think understanding how a message inspires its response is key to our society's future. Communication is social influence.

  why is your chapter important?

Communication apprehension is isolating and is very detrimental to any person's development. I want folks who are dealing with this common fear ultimately to be satisfied with how they are heard and understood by their friends, families, and associates.

who would you like to play you if your life story was made into a movie?
I'd be honored if Bill Murray would do it.
name three things you think will become obsolete in ten years?

I think we will no longer use cash very much at all, that we will have something much different than the two party system, and that gasoline powered cars will be in the extreme minority (but they'll still be aorund). We live in a time when incredible advancements are being made in all fields I hope we learn to cooperate better as social beings - so these advancements can be enjoyed by everyone.

you win a million dollars, but you have to give healf to charity. what charity would you pick and what would you do with the other half?

I'd want to set up an annual, competitive scholarship fund for students to design and implement local environmental projects. Save the world one project at a time. Plus I would throw my own summer music and arts festival so I could meet my favorite musicians. That's a cool drem!
